Day 1: Nairobi Masai Mara

Departing Nairobi in the morning we drive towards the escarpment (stopping to enjoy views of the rift valley) and down the floor of the Great Rift Valley via Narok town (the Masai district town). Lunch followed by afternoon game drive.  Dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp

Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara:

Two full day experiencing the Mara magic – Kenya’s premier reserve famed for its astounding concentration of game through morning and afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight atlodge or tented camp

Alternatively spend the entire day on a game drive (with packed lunches) returning to the camp in the early evening hours.

Optional balloon ride and/or Masai village visit

 

Day 4: Mara- Naivasha

After breakfast we drive to Naivasha area. Afternoon spent at leisure or may opt to do optional activities (payable direct). Dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp

There are many other optional activities you can do around Naivasha [payable direct], which includes:  A visit to Hells gate national park for a challenging gorge walk, game drive, cycling, rock climbing or swimming at the Ol-karia geothermal hot spa; A visit to Elsamere conservation centre; boat excursion & a visit to crescent island for a walk; crater lake walk- the choice is yours if time and weather permits.

 

Day 5: Naivasha-Merrueshi ranch [Amboseli eco system]

Depart Naivasha in the morning via Nairobi and drive to Merrueshi ranch for a cultural experience. Overnight at Masai Simba camp.

The Camp is located in Merrueshi Ranch, Amboseli eco-system. The area is a wildlife corridor between Amboseli and Chyulu Hills and Tsavo West National Parks. Giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, Kudu, warthogs, gazelles, impala, and over 400 species of birds are common in the area.

Day 6: Merrueshi Ranch

Day spent at Merrueshi. Overnight at Masai Simba camp.

The following activities are available at the camp; guests are free to choose preferred activities without any additional fee.

 

  • Daily bush walking safari lead by the Maasai warriors
  • Bird watching safari
  • Visit a Maasai tribal village and experience the Maasai way of life
  • Meet with Maasai village elders and the Women Cooperative
  • Visit the local school and village health center

Day 7: Merrueshi -Amboseli national park:

After breakfast one-hour drive to Amboseli national park for a day game drive with stunning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear days. Dinner and overnight at lodge or tented camp

Day 8: Amboseli – Tsavo west
we head into famed Tsavo Territory. This is one of the largest parks in Kenya, where some of the most magnificent natural views will unfold. After lunch we head to Mzima Springs, where jungle like vegetation surrounds the crystal springs that pump out millions of gallons of clear cool water …the source of Mombasa’s drinking water!. Hippo and crocs abound – enjoy viewing through a glassy observation point inside the pools, and the cool banks that are a favourite point for countless baboons and monkeys. We leave the vehicles here and in the company of trained and experienced rangers we take a walk under the acacia umbrella shaped cover. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena lodge or Ngulia rhino valley

Day 9: Tsavo East

Early in the morning we drive to Tsavo East. This park was famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery. We visit the scenic Lugards Falls on the galena river, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier season) and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. Dinner and overnight at luxury tented camp or lodge

Day 10: Mombasa town, Watamu or Diani

An early morning gamedrive, breakfast then drive to the coastal region for your beach extension, dropping off at either Mombasa, Watamu, Malindi or Diani.
