Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara national reserve
Pick up from JKIA Airport/hotel after breakfast and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, to arrive to arrive in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at luxury tented camp or lodge.
Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge or luxury tented camp.
It is famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, game, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration
All members of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and Black Rhinoceros) are found in the Masai Mara National Reserve, over450 recorded bird species in Masai Mara
Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park.
Day 4. Masai Mara – Loita
Depart Masai Mara after breakfast to Loita hills for guided nature walks, Masai Cultural briefing with fire making presentation “Maasai style” included as well is free use of a quality, 24 speed mountain bikes with front suspension. Followed by winding down the day with camp fire stories. Overnight at Maji moto eco camp
Day 5: Loita- Naivasha
After breakfast and before departure, Maasai Warrior training; measuring skills in Sasol stick fighting, spear throwing and archery will be organized. Later drive to Naivasha.
Naivasha has many exciting activities one can do ranging from easy to challenging ones
These includes: A boat ride to see the hippos and birds and may include a guided walk at Crescent Island where wildlife roam freely without predators. A visit to hells gate national park for various activities such as (cycling around the park, rock climbing, swimming at the geothermal swimming pool and/or a challenging but exotic guided gorge walk [weather allowing],
Mt Longonot hike including a walk around the crater. A visit to Elsamare for a Born-free movie and afternoon high tea. A walk at Crater Lake sanctuary. Other activities in the area include flower farms visit, Golfing, cycling, horseback riding. etc.
Day 6: Naivasha –Nairobi
spend your morning at leisure at your hotel grounds or go for more optional activities around the area before making your way back to Nairobi.
You may extend your stay at the Kenyan coast or Zanzibar.
