We begin our 8 day journey by a visit to Amboseli National Park for 2days a home for different wild animals at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. We drive to the Great Rift Valley Lakes Naivasha and Lake Nakuru excellent spots for bird watching and fine game viewing and finally visit the game filled park-Maasai Mara look out for the big five. The park is world recognized for its spectacular annual wildebeest migration in July – October

Day 1: Nairobi -Amboseli:

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south through Masai territory to Amboseli Game Reserve, arriving in time of lunch. Afternoon game drive beneath the snow-capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or tented camp

This small park (at 392 sq km) is the second most popular park in Kenya after Masai Mara, mainly due to the spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro on the southern boundary.

Day 2: Amboseli

Day spent game viewingthroughmorning and afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or tented camp

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha 

After breakfast we drive via Nairobi towards the escarpment ( a brief stop to enjoy the stunning views of the rift valley) and down the floor of the Great Rift Valley to  Lake naivasha. Afternoon spent at leisure or may do optional activities [payable direct]. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

There are many optional activities you can do around Naivasha [payable direct], which includes:  A visit to Hells gate national park for variety of activities such us [a challenging gorge walk, you may hire and cycle the park, rock climbing and or  swimming at the natural geothermal hot spa] A visit to Elsamere conservation centre; boat excursion combined with a guided walk at crescent island; crater lake walk; a visit to lake Oloiden and Mt. Longonot hike– the choice is yours time & weather permitting.

Day 4: A day visit to Lake Nakuru

We drive to lake Nakuru park and spend the day watching birds & viewing game including warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, lions’ reedbucks, the occasional leopard, White and black rhinos.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara:

Depart to the Kenya’s most famous park- Masai Mara Game Reserve after an early breakfast. Arriving n time for lunch and afternoon game viewing in the reserve. Dinner and overnight atlodge or tented camp

Day 6 & 7: Masai Mara:

Two full days experiencing the Masai Mara game through morning and afternoon game drives.  The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra.  From mid July to early October, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and overnightat a tented camp or lodge

Optional balloon ride, horseback riding and/or Masai village visit

 

Day 8: Masai Mara/Nairobi:

Morning game drive, breakfast then drive back to Nairobi.
